Love and purpose…What Inspires Me.
I’m Beth, an artist and bird enthusiast. I grew up in Louisiana surrounded by wetlands, which sparked a love for both nature and art. Today, I focus on painting threatened and endangered birds, combining creativity with a mission to help protect them.

The Blue Flash of the West: Painting the Piñon Jay
The Piñon Jay: Blue Flash of the West
The Piñon Jay is more than just a beautiful blue bird — it’s a keystone species of the Southwest, carrying pine nuts across the desert and planting the very trees it depends on. Yet this clever, social bird has lost over 80% of its population in the last 50 years due to habitat loss, drought, and climate change. In this post, I share the story of the Piñon Jay, why it inspires my art, and why its future matters for all of us.

Where Art Meets Wings
I’ve always loved art and nature, but it wasn’t until recently that I discovered my true calling—painting birds. Growing up in Louisiana’s wetlands shaped my fascination with cranes, waterfowl, and now threatened species like the Piñon Jay. My latest work honors these birds and invites us all to pause and protect the beauty they represent.
